🍽️ Tandoori Chicken Skewers with Yogurt Dip and Tomatoes

Ingredients
- 4 chicken breast fillets (approx. 150 g each)
- 1 lemon
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 2 garlic cloves
- 200 g yogurt
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- spice mix (each 1/2 tsp ground cumin, nutmeg, coriander, black pepper, paprika powder,)
- 2 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 cucumber
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped mint
- 250 g yogurt
- 0.5 tsp cumin (ground)
- 0.5 tsp coriander (ground)
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Cut the chicken meat into small, bite-sized cubes.
- 2. Place the meat cubes into a shallow dish.
- 3. Season the meat with salt and pepper.
- 4. Drizzle lemon juice over the meat.
- 5. Let the meat marinate for 30 minutes.
- 6. Peel the garlic clove.
- 7. Mix yogurt, oil, the spice mix, and ginger in a separate bowl.
- 8. Press the garlic through a garlic press into the yogurt mixture.
- 9. Thoroughly mix the chicken meat with the yogurt marinade.
- 10. Seal the dish with aluminum foil.
- 11. Let the meat marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
- 12. Peel the cucumber.
- 13. Cut the cucumber in half lengthwise.
- 14. Remove the seeds from the cucumber.
- 15. Grate the cucumber flesh finely.
- 16. Mix the grated cucumber with yogurt.
- 17. Season the dip with cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper.
- 18. Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers.
- 19. Preheat the grill.
- 20. Place aluminum foil on the grill grate.
- 21. Place the skewers on the aluminum foil.
- 22. Grill the skewers for 8 to 10 minutes.
- 23. Brush the skewers with the remaining marinade in between.
- 24. Turn the skewers while grilling.
- 25. Serve the skewers with the yogurt dip.
- 26. Garnish the skewers with diced tomatoes and flatbread as desired.
