🍽️ Crispy Chicken Thighs with Bacon and Crème fraîche

Ingredients
- 4 chicken drumsticks
- 8 slices breakfast bacon
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 200 ml chicken broth
- 1 stalk leek
- 150 g crème fraîche
Instructions
- 1. Wash the chicken thighs thoroughly and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
- 2. Separate the chicken thighs into individual pieces at the joints.
- 3. Fry the bacon in a large pan until crispy and brown.
- 4. Remove the fried bacon from the pan and set it aside.
- 5. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
- 6. Fry the chicken pieces in the hot bacon fat until golden brown on all sides.
- 7. Deglaze the pan with the broth.
- 8. Wash the leek and remove the tough ends.
- 9. Slice the leek into thin rings.
- 10. Distribute the leek rings evenly over the chicken pieces in the pan.
- 11. Cover the pan and let the dish simmer for about 20 minutes.
- 12. Turn the chicken pieces occasionally during the cooking time.
- 13. Add a little more liquid if the pan becomes too dry.
- 14. Distribute the prepared bacon evenly over the chicken.
- 15. Pour the crème fraîche (a sour cream) over the dish.
- 16. Season everything lightly with salt and pepper once more.
- 17. Cover the pan again and let the dish simmer for another 10 minutes until cooked through.
- 18. Taste the dish one last time and serve it hot.
