🍽️ Asian-style Chicken and Orzo Salad

Ingredients
- 300 g Orzo pasta
- Salt
- 2 red bell peppers
- 3 spring onions
- 200 g soybeans
- 400 g chicken breast fillet
- 1.5 cm fresh ginger
- 2 tbsp soybean oil
- 3 tbsp almond slivers
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 0.5 tsp Szechuan pepper
Instructions
- 1. Boil water in a pot and add some salt.
- 2. Cook the orzo pasta in the salted water until al dente.
- 3. Wash the bell pepper thoroughly.
- 4. Cut the bell pepper in half.
- 5. Remove the seeds and the white inner walls of the bell pepper.
- 6. Cut the bell pepper into small cubes.
- 7. Wash the spring onions.
- 8. Remove the tough ends of the spring onions.
- 9. Slice the spring onions diagonally into thin rings.
- 10. Wash the beans.
- 11. Remove the ends of the beans.
- 12. Boil the beans for 5 to 7 minutes in boiling salted water.
- 13. Drain the beans.
- 14. Rinse the beans with cold water to stop the cooking process.
- 15. Let the beans drain well.
- 16. Wash the meat.
- 17. Pat the meat dry with a kitchen towel.
- 18. Cut the meat into thin strips.
- 19. Peel the ginger.
- 20. Finely chop the ginger.
- 21. Heat the oil in a wok.
- 22. Fry the meat on all sides until well browned.
- 23. Add the vegetables to the meat in the wok.
- 24. Add the pasta to the meat and vegetables.
- 25. Add the ginger to the meat, vegetables, and pasta.
- 26. Add the spring onions to the meat, vegetables, pasta, and ginger.
- 27. Add the almonds to the meat, vegetables, pasta, ginger, and spring onions.
- 28. Mix all ingredients well together.
- 29. Fry the mixture briefly.
- 30. Season the mixture with soy sauce.
- 31. Season the mixture with oyster sauce.
- 32. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 33. Taste the mixture and adjust seasoning if needed.
- 34. Plate the salad.
- 35. Serve the salad.
