🍽️ Crispy chicken drumsticks with fruity-spicy sauce

Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 600 g apricots
- 1 pinch of clove
- 1 chili pepper
- 1 onion
- 300 ml chicken broth
- 4 tbsp apple juice
Instructions
- 1. Wash the apricots thoroughly.
- 2. Halve the apricots and remove the pits.
- 3. Cut the fruit flesh into bite-sized pieces.
- 4. Wash the chili pepper.
- 5. Slit the chili pepper lengthwise.
- 6. Remove the seeds from the chili pepper.
- 7. Slice the chili pepper into thin rings.
- 8. Peel the onion.
- 9. Cut the onion into thin strips.
- 10. Place the chicken drumsticks in a baking dish.
- 11. Mix the broth with two tablespoons of apple juice.
- 12. Pour the liquid over the meat.
- 13. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
- 14. Close the lid of the baking dish.
- 15. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- 16. Bake the chicken in the oven for about 30 minutes.
- 17. Take the baking dish out of the oven.
- 18. Brush the meat with the remaining apple juice.
- 19. Add the apricot pieces to the dish.
- 20. Add the chili rings to the dish.
- 21. Add the onion strips to the dish.
- 22. Remove the lid from the baking dish.
- 23. Roast the chicken for another 20 minutes without the lid.
- 24. Season the sauce with lemon juice.
- 25. Finally, season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 26. Add a pinch of ground cloves.
- 27. Serve the chicken drumsticks with the sauce and fruit on a platter.
