🍽️ Quick Chicken Stew with Rice

Ingredients
- 200 g Basmati rice
- 400 g Turkey breast fillet
- 1 Onion
- 250 g Mushrooms
- 2 tbsp Oil (20 ml each)
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 200 ml Whipping cream (30% fat)
- 125 ml Crème fraîche
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 bunch Chives
Instructions
- 1. Put the rice into a pot.
- 2. Add double the amount of water to the rice.
- 3. Cook the rice over medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes.
- 4. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 5. Let the rice steam.
- 6. Set the rice aside.
- 7. Cut the turkey breast into strips.
- 8. Peel the onion.
- 9. Dice the onion.
- 10. Clean the mushrooms.
- 11. Slice the mushrooms.
- 12. Heat oil in a large non-stick pan over medium heat.
- 13. Fry the turkey strips in the pan.
- 14. Add the butter.
- 15. Add the onions and mushrooms.
- 16. Sauté the vegetables.
- 17. Stir in the cream.
- 18. Stir in the crème fraîche.
- 19. Let the sauce reduce over low heat for 2 to 4 minutes.
- 20. Season the dish with salt and pepper.
- 21. Wash the chives.
- 22. Shake the chives dry.
- 23. Cut the chives into fine rings.
- 24. Plate the chicken stew with rice.
- 25. Sprinkle the dish with chives.
- 26. Serve the dish.
