Ingredients
- 1.5 kg chicken wings
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- oil (for the baking sheet)
- 1 orange
- 4 tbsp red chili sauce (for chicken)
- 1 fresh ginger (walnut-sized piece)
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
Instructions
- 1. Use kitchen shears to cut off the tips of the chicken wings and save them for another use, such as making broth.
- 2. Use a sharp knife to cut the wings in half right at the joint.
- 3. Season the wings with salt and pepper, place them on an oiled baking sheet, and roast them in a preheated oven at 220 degrees for about 20 to 25 minutes, turning them once halfway through.
- 4. Meanwhile, squeeze the juice from the orange and mix it with the chili sauce. Trim the spring onions, wash them, and chop them finely.
- 5. Peel the ginger and chop it finely as well.
- 6. Stir the chopped spring onions, ginger, and soy sauce into the chili-orange mixture.
- 7. Remove the baked chicken wings from the oven, place them in a large bowl, and toss them with 1 to 2 tablespoons of the chili sauce.
- 8. Serve the chicken wings alongside the remaining chili dip.
