🍽️ Steam Chicken with Wasabi and Snow Peas

Ingredients
- 4 chicken breast fillets (á 160 g)
- 2 tbsp peanut oil
- 1 lime (juice, zest)
- 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 tsp wasabi
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 4 stalks lemongrass
- 300 g broccoli florets
- 150 g snow peas
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the chicken breast fillets under running water.
- 2. Pat the fillets completely dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Put the oil, the juice, and the grated zest of the lime into a small bowl.
- 4. Add the grated ginger and the wasabi powder to the bowl.
- 5. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 6. Whisk the marinade ingredients well together.
- 7. Coat the chicken breast fillets evenly with the marinade.
- 8. Let the fillets marinate for about 30 minutes.
- 9. Line a bamboo steamer insert with baking paper.
- 10. Place the marinated chicken breast fillets into the prepared insert.
- 11. Put the lemongrass on top of the chicken breast fillets.
- 12. Fill a pot with hot water.
- 13. Place the bamboo steamer with the chicken over the pot.
- 14. Close the steamer insert with a lid.
- 15. Steam the chicken for 8 to 10 minutes.
- 16. Rinse the broccoli under running water.
- 17. Rinse the snow peas under running water.
- 18. Let the vegetables drain well.
- 19. Clean the broccoli and remove tough stems.
- 20. Clean the snow peas and remove the ends.
- 21. Put the broccoli and the snow peas into a second steamer insert.
- 22. Place the second insert on top of the first insert with the chicken after 8 minutes.
- 23. Close the steamer insert again.
- 24. Steam the vegetables for another 3 to 4 minutes.
- 25. Slice lemon slices for garnishing.
- 26. Plate the chicken and the vegetables.
- 27. Decorate the plates with the lemon slices.
- 28. Serve the dish immediately.
