🍽️ Chicken Breast in Lime Jelly

Ingredients
- 800 g chicken breast fillet (4 chicken breast fillets)
- salt
- pepper
- 1 tbsp sunflower oil
- 2 limes
- 3 sheets white gelatin
- 125 ml classic vegetable broth
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 1.5 tsp liquid flower honey
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the chicken breast fillets under running water.
- 2. Pat the fillets completely dry with kitchen paper.
- 3. Season the fillets evenly with salt and pepper.
- 4. Heat the oil in a coated frying pan.
- 5. Fry the chicken breast fillets over medium heat.
- 6. Cook the fillets for about five minutes on each side until golden brown.
- 7. Rinse the limes under hot water and dry them thoroughly.
- 8. Finely grate the zest from one lime.
- 9. Cut both limes in half.
- 10. Squeeze the juice from the lime halves.
- 11. Soak the gelatin in cold water according to package instructions.
- 12. Remove the fried chicken breast from the pan.
- 13. Let the chicken breast cool down on a plate.
- 14. Pour the lime juice into the hot pan.
- 15. Pour the broth into the hot pan.
- 16. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring.
- 17. Strain the liquid through a very fine sieve into a bowl.
- 18. Squeeze the soaked gelatin well.
- 19. Dissolve the gelatin in the warm liquid.
- 20. Add the soy sauce to the liquid.
- 21. Add the grated lime zest.
- 22. Season the sauce with honey.
- 23. Stir all ingredients well together.
- 24. Place the chicken breast fillets in a tightly sealing food container.
- 25. Pour the lukewarm liquid over the fillets.
- 26. Place the container in the refrigerator.
- 27. Let the sauce chill until it has set.
- 28. This process takes about three hours or longer.
- 29. Slice the chicken breast for serving.
- 30. Cut the jelly into small cubes.
- 31. Serve the slices with the jelly cubes.
