🍽️ Tandoori Chicken Skewers with Fresh Cucumber Yogurt Dip

Ingredients
- 6 Chicken Breast Fillets (approx. 140 g each)
- Pepper (from a mill)
- Salt
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 200 g Yogurt
- 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 2 tsp Tandoori Spice Mix (made from ground cumin, nutmeg, coriander, pepper, paprika powder, turmeric)
- 2 tsp freshly grated Ginger
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 1 Cucumber
- 250 g Yogurt
- 1 tbsp finely chopped Parsley
- 1 tbsp finely chopped Mint
- 0.5 tsp ground Cumin
- 0.5 tsp ground Coriander
- Salt
- Pepper (from a mill)
- Mint (for garnishing)
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the chicken meat under cold water.
- 2. Pat the meat completely dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Cut the meat into bite-sized cubes.
- 4. Place the meat cubes in a shallow baking dish.
- 5. Season the meat evenly with salt and pepper.
- 6. Drizzle the meat with lemon juice.
- 7. Let the meat marinate at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- 8. Peel the garlic cloves.
- 9. Mix the yogurt with the oil, spice mix, and ginger in a bowl.
- 10. Press the garlic through a garlic press directly into the yogurt mixture.
- 11. Add the pre-marinated chicken meat to the yogurt mixture.
- 12. Mix the meat thoroughly with the marinade so that everything is evenly coated.
- 13. Cover the dish and place it in the refrigerator overnight for best results.
- 14. Peel the cucumber.
- 15. Cut the cucumber in half lengthwise.
- 16. Remove the seeds from the cucumber half.
- 17. Grate the cucumber flesh finely.
- 18. Mix the grated cucumber with yogurt and the herbs.
- 19. Season the dip with cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper.
- 20. Garnish the finished dip with fresh mint.
- 21. Thread the marinated chicken meat onto the skewers.
- 22. Place aluminum foil or an aluminum grill pan directly on the grill grate.
- 23. Place the skewers on the prepared grill surface.
- 24. Grill the skewers for 8 to 10 minutes.
- 25. Turn the skewers occasionally while grilling.
- 26. Brush the skewers with the remaining marinade in between.
- 27. Serve the hot Tandoori chicken skewers together with the cucumber yogurt dip.
