  9. 9. Cut the peppers into approximately 1 cm cubes.

  11. 11. Cut the onions into cubes as well.
  12. 12. Rinse the thyme under cold water.
  13. 13. Shake the herb vigorously to remove excess water.
  14. 14. Pluck the small thyme leaves from the stems.
  15. 15. Finely chop the thyme leaves.
  16. 16. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
  17. 17. Cut out the hard stem areas from the tomatoes in a wedge shape.
  18. 18. Cut the cored tomatoes into cubes.
  19. 19. Pour the oil into a heavy pot.
