🍽️ Crispy chicken drumsticks with spicy tomato sauce

Ingredients
- 4 chicken drumsticks
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- tomato sauce
- 500 g tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp thyme leaves (chopped)
- 2 tbsp oil
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 400 g green fettuccine
- thyme sprig (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes.
- 2. Peel the skin off the tomatoes.
- 3. Remove the seeds from the fruit flesh.
- 4. Cut the tomato flesh into small cubes.
- 5. Peel the onion and the garlic.
- 6. Finely chop the onion and the garlic.
- 7. Heat the oil in a pot.
- 8. Add the chopped onions to the hot oil.
- 9. Cook the onions until soft.
- 10. Add the chopped garlic.
- 11. Add the tomato cubes to the pot.
- 12. Let the mixture simmer briefly.
- 13. Add the thyme leaves.
- 14. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
- 15. Taste the sauce.
- 16. Wash the chicken drumsticks.
- 17. Split the chicken drumsticks at the joint if necessary.
- 18. Pat the chicken drumsticks dry.
- 19. Rub the chicken drumsticks with salt and pepper.
- 20. Fry the chicken drumsticks in the oil until golden brown on all sides.
- 21. Turn the chicken drumsticks frequently while frying.
- 22. Place the chicken drumsticks in a greased, ovenproof baking dish.
- 23. Add the tomato sauce to the chicken drumsticks.
- 24. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
- 25. Braise the chicken drumsticks in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes.
- 26. Cook the pasta in boiling water.
- 27. Cook the pasta until al dente.
- 28. Plate the pasta on a dish.
- 29. Place the chicken drumsticks and the tomato sauce on top of the pasta.
- 30. Garnish the dish with thyme sprigs.
