🍽️ Bacon-Wrapped Meat Rolls

Ingredients
- 1 stale roll
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 shallot
- 1 tbsp butter
- 500 g minced meat (mixed)
- 1 egg
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 0.5 tsp paprika powder (mild sweet)
- 12 slices breakfast bacon
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- 1. Soak the bread rolls in lukewarm water.
- 2. Peel the garlic clove and the shallot.
- 3. Dice the garlic and shallot into very fine cubes.
- 4. Heat the butter in a frying pan.
- 5. Sauté the onion and garlic cubes until translucent.
- 6. Transfer the mixture into a bowl.
- 7. Let the mixture cool down slightly.
- 8. Squeeze the soaked bread roll thoroughly.
- 9. Mix the minced meat with the cooled onion mixture, the egg, and the squeezed bread roll.
- 10. Knead the ingredients into a smooth dough.
- 11. Season the dough with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- 12. Wet your hands with water.
- 13. Shape 12 small rolls from the meat dough.
- 14. Each roll should be about 6 to 8 centimeters long.
- 15. Wrap each meat roll tightly with a strip of bacon.
- 16. Heat the oil in a frying pan.
- 17. Fry the bacon wraps all around in the pan.
- 18. Cook the rolls for about 10 minutes.
- 19. Serve the rolls warm or cold.
