🍽️ Juicy Meat Rolls in Creamy Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 whole grain rolls (from the day before)
- 50 g Pecorino (1 piece)
- 20 g basil (1 bunch)
- 1 shallot
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 600 g beef tartare
- 1 egg
- salt
- pepper
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 kg ripe tomatoes
- 1 pinch sugar
Instructions
- 1. Soak the bread rolls in lukewarm water.
- 2. Grate the cheese finely.
- 3. Wash the basilica and shake it dry.
- 4. Chop the basilica finely.
- 5. Peel the shallot.
- 6. Chop the shallot finely.
- 7. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a pan.
- 8. Sauté the shallot in it until translucent over medium heat.
- 9. Remove the pan from the stove.
- 10. Let the shallot cool down.
- 11. Squeeze the soaked bread roll well.
- 12. Mix the bread roll with the shallot.
- 13. Add the minced meat to the mixture.
- 14. Add half of the basilica to the mixture.
- 15. Add the egg to the mixture.
- 16. Add the grated cheese to the mixture.
- 17. Knead everything well.
- 18. Season the mixture with salt.
- 19. Season the mixture with pepper.
- 20. Form long rolls from the meat mixture.
- 21. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a pan.
- 22. Fry the meat rolls in it until golden brown over medium heat.
- 23. Fry the rolls for about five minutes from all sides.
- 24. Place the fried rolls in a baking dish.
- 25. Peel the garlic.
- 26. Chop the garlic finely.
- 27. Wash the tomatoes.
- 28. Cut the tomatoes into large pieces.
- 29. Heat the remaining oil in a pot.
- 30. Sauté the garlic in it until translucent.
- 31. Add the tomato pieces to the garlic.
- 32. Season the tomatoes with salt.
- 33. Season the tomatoes with pepper.
- 34. Add a pinch of sugar to the tomatoes.
- 35. Simmer the tomatoes over medium heat for about fifteen minutes.
- 36. Strain the tomato sauce through a sieve.
- 37. Stir the remaining basilica into the sauce.
- 38. Distribute the sauce on the meat rolls.
- 39. Preheat the oven to 120 degrees Celsius.
- 40. Place the baking dish in the oven.
- 41. Let the rolls rest in the oven for about ten to fifteen minutes.
