  1. 1. Soak the bread roll in some warm water.
  2. 2. Squeeze the soaked bread roll well to remove excess water.
  3. 3. Knead the minced meat with the egg and the squeezed bread roll.
  4. 4. Peel the onion and chop it finely.
  5. 5. Sauté the onions in hot oil until translucent.
  6. 6. Add the onions, parsley, and marjoram to the meat.
  7. 7. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
  8. 8. Knead everything well until it forms a homogeneous mixture.
  9. 9. Take small portions of the meat mixture.
  10. 10. Flatten the portions in your palm.
  11. 11. Fill the flat meat slices with the diced cheese.
  12. 12. Roll the filled portions into balls.
  13. 13. Coat the meatballs in breadcrumbs.
  14. 14. Fry the balls in batches in hot oil at 170°C.
  15. 15. Fry them for 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown.
  16. 16. Let the finished balls drain on kitchen paper.
  17. 17. Serve the meatballs on a bed of salad.
