  1. 1. Peel the onion and dice it into small cubes. Wash the tomatoes and slice them into thick rounds. Trim and wash the zucchini, then grate it coarsely using a grater. Slice the mozzarella.
  2. 2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions briefly. Add the minced meat and fry it until crumbly. Stir in the tomato paste and season everything with salt and pepper. Mix the grated zucchini strips into the meat mixture.
  3. 3. Whisk the eggs with the crème fraîche until smooth and stir in a pinch of salt.
  4. 4. Grease a suitable baking dish. Fill in the minced meat mixture and smooth it out. Pour the egg crème fraîche mixture over it. Top the surface with the tomato and mozzarella slices. Bake the casserole in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 35 to 40 minutes.
