  3. 3. Finely dice the onions and the garlic.
  4. 4. Wash the oregano and shake it dry.
  5. 5. Pluck the oregano leaves from the stems.
  6. 6. Finely chop the oregano leaves.
  7. 7. Squeeze the soaked bread rolls well.
  8. 8. Mix the minced beef with half of the garlic.
  9. 9. Add the squeezed bread rolls to the meat.
  10. 10. Add an egg to the meat mixture.
  11. 11. Season the meat mixture with salt and pepper.
  12. 12. Form small meatballs from the mixture.
  13. 13. Ensure each ball weighs about 30 grams.
  14. 14. Heat oil in an ovenproof pan.
  15. 15. Fry the meatballs golden brown on all sides.
  16. 16. Fry them over medium heat.
  17. 17. Add the diced onions to the pan.
  18. 18. Add the remaining garlic to the pan.
  19. 19. Sauté the vegetables briefly.
  20. 20. Deglaze the mixture with red wine.
  21. 21. Let the liquid reduce almost completely.
