🍽️ Sesame-coated meatballs with fresh cucumber and tomato skewers

Ingredients
- 2 slices toast bread (untoasted)
- 300 g mixed minced meat
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 4 tbsp sunflower oil
- 5 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 30 g sesame seeds (for rolling)
- 30 g flaxseeds (for rolling)
- 10 cherry tomatoes
- 100 g cucumber
Instructions
- 1. Crumble the toast bread into small pieces.
- 2. Add the bread crumbs to the minced meat.
- 3. Crack the eggs into the bowl.
- 4. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs (panko or regular) over the mixture.
- 5. Season everything with paprika powder, salt, and pepper.
- 6. Knead the mixture thoroughly with both hands.
- 7. Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan.
- 8. Wet your hands with a little water.
- 9. Shape small balls from the meat mixture.
- 10. Fry the balls in batches in the hot oil.
- 11. Cook them for about 5 to 6 minutes on all sides until done.
- 12. Remove the cooked meatballs from the pan.
- 13. Let them drain on kitchen paper.
- 14. Roll the meatballs in the chili sauce.
- 15. Then coat them with sesame or flax seeds.
- 16. Wash the cherry tomatoes and the cucumber thoroughly.
- 17. Halve the cherry tomatoes.
- 18. Slice the cucumber into thin rounds.
- 19. Skewer one half of a tomato.
- 20. Add a cucumber slice to the skewer.
- 21. Insert the end of the skewer into a meatball.
- 22. Serve the colorful skewers in a bowl.
