  1. 1. Wash the spring onions thoroughly and shake them dry.
  2. 2. Cut the white parts of the spring onions into small cubes.
  3. 3. Cut the green parts of the spring onions into fine rings.
  4. 4. Peel the cucumber and cut it in half lengthwise.
  5. 5. Remove the seeds from the cucumber halves using a teaspoon.
  6. 6. Cut the cucumber flesh into cubes of approx. 0.5 cm.
  7. 7. Wash the dill thoroughly and shake it dry.
  8. 8. Finely chop the dill.
  9. 9. Mix vinegar, olive oil, salt, pepper, and sugar in a small bowl.
  10. 10. Season the vinaigrette (a sauce made of oil and acid) to taste.
  11. 11. Add the diced spring onions, cucumber cubes, and chopped dill to a large bowl.
  12. 12. Pour the vinaigrette over the vegetables and mix everything well.
  13. 13. Let the salsa marinate for approx. 20 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.
  14. 14. Transfer the finished salsa into a large bowl or four small serving dishes.
