  3. 3. Carefully scoop out the seeds with a teaspoon.
  4. 4. Slice the deseeded cucumber halves into about 1 cm thick slices.
  5. 5. Peel the onion.
  6. 6. Cut the onion in half.
  7. 7. Slice the onion halves into thin slices.
  8. 8. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick pan.
  9. 9. Fry the cucumber slices over high heat for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly crispy.
  10. 10. Add the onion slices and the ham cubes to the pan.
  11. 11. Fry everything together for another 2 minutes.
  12. 12. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar.
  13. 13. Add the canned tomatoes.
  14. 14. Stir everything well to distribute the tomatoes.
  15. 15. Let the vegetable mixture simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes.

  17. 17. Shake the dill dry.
