🍽️ Fresh Green Tomato Salad

Ingredients
- 1 kg green ripe tomatoes
- 250 g firm goat cheese
- 1 red onion
- 6 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp white balsamic vinegar
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the green tomatoes under running water.
- 2. Remove the hard stem ends from the tomatoes.
- 3. Slice the tomatoes into even rounds.
- 4. Slice the cheese into thin pieces.
- 5. Peel the onion and remove the outer layers.
- 6. Halve the onion through the center.
- 7. Cut the onion halves into very fine strips.
- 8. Place one tomato slice on each of four plates.
- 9. Place a cheese slice directly next to or slightly overlapping the tomato.
- 10. Repeat the pattern with alternating tomato and cheese slices.
- 11. Arrange the slices so that they overlap like roof tiles.
- 12. Sprinkle the fine onion strips evenly over the salad.
- 13. Drizzle some oil over each plate.
- 14. Add some balsamic vinegar.
- 15. Season the salad with a pinch of salt.
- 16. Add freshly ground pepper to taste.
