  2. 2. Peel the lower part of the asparagus up to about halfway.
  3. 3. Cut off the woody ends of the asparagus stalks.
  4. 4. Fill a pot with water and add some salt and a piece of butter.
  5. 5. Bring the water to a boil.
  6. 6. Add the asparagus to the boiling water.
  7. 7. Cook the asparagus for about 12 to 15 minutes until tender.
  8. 8. Whisk the eggs in a bowl.
  9. 9. Add one tablespoon of water and a pinch of salt to the eggs.
  10. 10. Mix the mixture well with a fork or a whisk.
  11. 11. Heat the remaining butter in a frying pan.
  12. 12. Pour the egg mixture into the hot pan.
  13. 13. Let the eggs set briefly until they start to firm up.
  14. 14. Stir the eggs constantly until they are creamy.
  15. 15. Remove the asparagus from the water with a slotted spoon.
  16. 16. Let the asparagus drain briefly.
  17. 17. Place the asparagus on a plate.
  18. 18. Place the scrambled eggs next to the asparagus.
  19. 19. Season the dish freshly with ground pepper.
  20. 20. Garnish the dish with fresh basil leaves.
