🍽️ Baked Green Asparagus with Mozzarella

Ingredients
- 800 g green asparagus
- salt
- 150 g turkey bacon (diced)
- 30 g butter
- 375 g mozzarella (3 balls of 125 g each)
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the green asparagus thoroughly.
- 2. Trim about 2 cm off the bottom ends of each stalk.
- 3. Bring water to a boil and add some salt.
- 4. Cook the asparagus in it for about 5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- 5. Remove the asparagus from the water immediately.
- 6. Place it in a bowl of ice water to cool it down.
- 7. Let it cool in the water to keep its green color.
- 8. Heat some butter in a frying pan.
- 9. Fry the turkey bacon until crispy.
- 10. Grate the mozzarella finely.
- 11. Drain the cooled asparagus well.
- 12. Place the asparagus in a baking dish.
- 13. Spread the crispy turkey bacon over the asparagus.
- 14. Distribute the grated mozzarella evenly on top.
- 15. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (fan: 180 °C, gas: setting 3).
- 16. Bake the dish in the oven for about 15 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
- 17. Remove the dish from the oven.
- 18. Serve the dish immediately, while still hot.
