  1. 1. Fill a pot with filtered water. Soft water works best for the flavor.
  2. 2. Bring the water to a boil on the stove.
  3. 3. Remove the pot from the heat and let the water cool down for 5 to 10 minutes. This prevents the tea from becoming bitter.
  4. 4. Pour some hot water into your serving pot. Let it sit for a moment and then pour it out. This warms up the pot.
  5. 5. Place the desired amount of green tea into a pouring pot or a tea infuser.
  6. 6. Pour the cooled water over the tea leaves.
  7. 7. Let the tea steep for 2 to 3 minutes. Cover the pot during this time to keep the aromas intact.
  8. 8. Strain the finished tea through a fine mesh sieve into the warmed serving pot.
  9. 9. Serve the tea immediately and enjoy it.
