Ingredients
- 4 tsp green tea
- soft water (use a water filter if necessary)
Instructions
- 1. Fill a pot with filtered water. Soft water works best for the flavor.
- 2. Bring the water to a boil on the stove.
- 3. Remove the pot from the heat and let the water cool down for 5 to 10 minutes. This prevents the tea from becoming bitter.
- 4. Pour some hot water into your serving pot. Let it sit for a moment and then pour it out. This warms up the pot.
- 5. Place the desired amount of green tea into a pouring pot or a tea infuser.
- 6. Pour the cooled water over the tea leaves.
- 7. Let the tea steep for 2 to 3 minutes. Cover the pot during this time to keep the aromas intact.
- 8. Strain the finished tea through a fine mesh sieve into the warmed serving pot.
- 9. Serve the tea immediately and enjoy it.
