🍽️ Spicy Sausage and Pepper Skewers

Ingredients
- 4 juniper berries
- 1 tsp peppercorns
- 2 cloves
- 5 tbsp vegetable oil
- 500 g Nuremberg roast sausages (24 Nuremberg roast sausages)
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 bell pepper
- 8 spring onions
- salt
- pepper
- 2 tbsp horseradish (jar)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- metal skewer
- oil (for the grill)
Instructions
- 1. Coarsely crush juniper berries, peppercorns, and cloves in a mortar.
- 2. Mix the crushed spices with the oil to create a seasoning oil.
- 3. Cut the sausages into pieces about 3 cm long.
- 4. Wash the peppers and cut them in half lengthwise.
- 5. Remove the seeds and all white inner membranes from the peppers.
- 6. Cut the deseeded peppers into pieces about 3 cm large.
- 7. Wash and trim the spring onions.
- 8. Cut the white and light green parts of the spring onions into 2 cm long pieces.
- 9. Thread the peppers, sausage pieces, and spring onions onto the skewers in an alternating pattern.
- 10. Season the skewers with salt and pepper.
- 11. Brush the skewers again with the seasoning oil.
- 12. Grill the skewers on a hot grill for about 6 to 8 minutes.
- 13. Turn the skewers several times during grilling.
- 14. Brush the skewers with seasoning oil repeatedly while grilling.
- 15. Drizzle the finished skewers with a little lemon juice.
- 16. Serve the skewers with horseradish.
