  2. 2. Cut the peppers in half and remove the inside including the seeds.
  3. 3. Cut the deseeded pepper halves into thin strips.
  4. 4. Peel the onions completely.
  5. 5. Divide the peeled onions into four equal quarters.
  6. 6. Drizzle the prepared vegetables with some oil.
  7. 7. Place the seasoned vegetables together with the sausages on the grill.
  8. 8. Grill everything for about 7 to 10 minutes.
  9. 9. Turn the vegetables and sausages several times during the grilling process so they cook evenly.
  10. 10. Wash the basil under running water.
  11. 11. Shake the wet basil dry.
  12. 12. Carefully pluck the small basil leaves from the stems.
  13. 13. Put all the ingredients for the sauce into a separate bowl.
  14. 14. Mix the sauce ingredients well together.
  15. 15. Season the sauce to taste.
  16. 16. Mix the grilled vegetables with the sausages.
  17. 17. Place the mixture on a large serving plate.
  18. 18. Sprinkle some fresh thyme over the finished dish.
  19. 19. Serve the grill platter together with the prepared sauce.
