Ingredients
- 600 g Halloumi
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
- 4 Beef tomatoes
- 50 g Pine nuts
- Basil (for garnishing)
Instructions
- 1. Switch the oven to the grill function and preheat it.
- 2. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 3. Cut the cheese into 12 equal slices.
- 4. Brush the cheese slices with oil.
- 5. Season the cheese with salt and pepper.
- 6. Place the cheese slices on the prepared tray.
- 7. Grill the cheese until golden brown for 3 to 4 minutes.
- 8. Turn the cheese once during the grilling process.
- 9. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
- 10. Cut out the hard stem area from the tomatoes.
- 11. Slice the tomatoes.
- 12. Place one tomato slice on each cheese slice.
- 13. Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper.
- 14. Drizzle the tomatoes with some oil.
- 15. Sprinkle the pine nuts over the tomatoes.
- 16. Grill the topped cheese slices for 1 to 2 minutes until lightly browned.
- 17. Decorate the dish with fresh basil.
- 18. Serve the grilled cheese immediately.
