🍰 Crunchy Semolina Halwa

Ingredients
- 175 g Butter
- 225 g semolina
- 100 g almond sticks
- 1 l milk
- 300 g sugar
- 6 tbsp peeled almond kernels
- 10 fresh mint
Instructions
- 1. Heat the butter in a large pot.
- 2. Add the semolina and almonds to the pot.
- 3. Roast the mixture at medium heat for 20 minutes until golden yellow, stirring constantly.
- 4. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 5. Heat the milk and sugar in a second pot.
- 6. Carefully pour the hot milk and sugar mixture over the semolina and almond mixture, as it may splatter.
- 7. Simmer the semolina at medium heat for 15 minutes until thick and firm, stirring while doing so.
- 8. Rinse a dome-shaped mold with cold water.
- 9. Fill the semolina pudding into the mold.
- 10. Smooth the surface with a wet spoon.
- 11. Let the halwa chill for 1 hour.
- 12. Roast the almonds in a pan.
- 13. Turn the halwa out onto a plate.
- 14. Garnish the halwa with the roasted almonds and mint leaves.
- 15. Serve the dish.
