🍽️ Fresh Greek Tuna Salad

Ingredients
- 1 head romaine lettuce
- 1 small red onion
- 300 g cucumber (1 cucumber)
- 175 g red bell peppers (1 red bell pepper)
- 175 g yellow bell peppers (1 yellow bell pepper)
- 2 green chili peppers (jar)
- 210 g tuna in its own juice
- 5 sprigs parsley
- 6 green olives (pitted)
- 1 tbsp capers
- 0.5 lemon
- salt
- pepper
- 4 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- 1. Remove the outer, wilted leaves from the romaine lettuce.
- 2. Wash the lettuce in cold water.
- 3. Dry the lettuce thoroughly.
- 4. Cut the lettuce into very fine strips.
- 5. Peel the onion.
- 6. Slice the onion into thin rings.
- 7. Wash the cucumber.
- 8. Wash the bell peppers.
- 9. Remove the hard stem from the cucumber.
- 10. Cut the cucumber into quarters.
- 11. Slice the cucumber pieces into thin rounds.
- 12. Cut the bell peppers into quarters.
- 13. Remove the inside and seeds of the bell peppers.
- 14. Rinse the deseeded pepper pieces.
- 15. Cut the bell peppers into thin strips.
- 16. Slice the chili peppers into rings.
- 17. Drain the tuna.
- 18. Break the tuna into small pieces using a fork.
- 19. Mix the onion rings with the salad.
- 20. Add the cucumber slices.
- 21. Add the bell pepper strips.
- 22. Add the chili pepper rings.
- 23. Add the broken-up tuna.
- 24. Wash the parsley.
- 25. Spin the parsley dry.
- 26. Finely chop the parsley leaves.
- 27. Finely chop the olives.
- 28. Finely chop the capers.
- 29. Squeeze the juice from the lemon half.
- 30. Whisk two tablespoons of lemon juice with salt and pepper.
- 31. Stir the olive oil into the dressing mixture.
- 32. Pour the dressing over the salad just before serving.
