🍽️ Prepare Greek Souvlaki

Ingredients
- 1 kg lamb meat from the leg (trimmed and ready for cooking)
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 lemon (juice)
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 150 ml olive oil
- sea salt
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the grill.
- 2. Place all ingredients on the work surface.
- 3. Cut the meat into cubes of about two centimeters in size.
- 4. Thread the meat cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers.
- 5. Place the skewers side by side in a shallow dish or on a baking sheet.
- 6. Peel the garlic and slice it.
- 7. Squeeze the juice of one lemon into it.
- 8. Mix the garlic with the lemon juice, oregano, and oil.
- 9. Season the marinade with salt and pepper.
- 10. Drizzle the marinade over the skewers.
- 11. Cover the skewers and place them in the refrigerator for at least two hours.
- 12. Let the meat drain.
- 13. Grill the souvlaki on the hot grill for about ten minutes.
- 14. Brown them on all sides.
- 15. Brush the skewers with the remaining marinade in between.
- 16. Serve the souvlaki with lemon wedges, tzatziki, and bread.
