🍽️ Lamb Chops Marinated with Greek Herbs

Ingredients
- 16 lamb chops
- 1 sprig rosemary
- 2 stems oregano
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 red chili pepper
- 1 tsp peppercorns
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- sea salt
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the lamb chops under cold water.
- 2. Pat the meat completely dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Place the chops in a shallow baking dish.
- 4. Wash the rosemary and oregano sprigs under running water.
- 5. Shake the herbs dry.
- 6. Pluck the leaves off the rosemary and oregano stems.
- 7. Distribute the herb leaves evenly over the chops.
- 8. Peel the garlic cloves.
- 9. Halve the garlic cloves.
- 10. Place the garlic together with the meat in the dish.
- 11. Rinse the chili pepper under running water.
- 12. Remove the stem and seeds of the chili pepper.
- 13. Finely chop the chili pepper.
- 14. Grind the peppercorns using a mortar.
- 15. Sprinkle the ground pepper and chopped chili over the meat.
- 16. Drizzle the oil over the marinated chops.
- 17. Cover the dish.
- 18. Let the meat marinate for at least 3 hours.
- 19. Ideally, let the marinade work overnight.
- 20. Turn the chops once during the marinating time.
- 21. Remove the chops from the marinade.
- 22. Preheat the grill.
- 23. Place the chops on the hot grill.
- 24. Turn the chops while grilling.
- 25. Grill the chops for about 8 minutes.
- 26. Season the finished chops with sea salt at the end.
