  1. 1. Wash the spinach thoroughly and remove any tough stems.
  2. 2. Blanch the spinach by briefly cooking it in boiling salted water.
  3. 3. Remove the spinach from the water immediately and let it drain.
  4. 4. Chop the spinach into coarse pieces.
  5. 5. Drain the chickpeas well as well.
  6. 6. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees using the grill function.
  7. 7. Wash the halibut steaks and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
  8. 8. Brush the fish with two tablespoons of oil.
  9. 9. Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
  10. 10. Drizzle some lemon juice over the fish.
  11. 11. Place the steaks on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  12. 12. Put the tray in the oven and cook the fish for about four minutes until golden brown.
  13. 13. Mix the breadcrumbs with the butter and horseradish in a bowl.
  14. 14. Season this mixture with a pinch of salt.
  15. 15. Take the tray out of the oven briefly and turn the halibut steaks.
  16. 16. Place one large tablespoon of the butter-breadcrumb mixture on each steak.
  17. 17. Return the tray to the oven and bake the fish for another three to four minutes.
  18. 18. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.
  19. 19. Sauté the garlic briefly in the remaining hot oil.
  20. 20. Add the turmeric (a yellow spice).
  21. 21. Deglaze the pan with the white wine.
  22. 22. Add the chopped spinach and chickpeas to the pan.
  23. 23. Let the vegetable mixture heat up for two to three minutes.
  24. 24. Season the side dish with salt.
  25. 25. Distribute the vegetable mixture onto the plates.
  26. 26. Place the finished halibut steaks on top of the vegetables.
  27. 27. Sprinkle the steaks with freshly ground pepper and chili flakes.
  28. 28. Serve the dish immediately.
