  1. 1. Rinse the asparagus thoroughly. Peel the lower part of the stalks and cut off the woody ends generously. Boil the asparagus for 3 minutes in salted water. Wrap 3 to 4 asparagus stalks in a slice of ham each and place them in a greased baking dish.
  2. 2. Whisk the eggs with crème fraîche and milk. Season the mixture with salt and pepper. Wash the tomatoes and slice them. Grate the cheese.
  3. 3. Pour the egg cream over the asparagus, place the tomato slices on top, and sprinkle with the grated cheese. Bake the dish in the preheated oven at 220 degrees (Gas: Level 4-5, Fan: 200 degrees) for 20 to 30 minutes. Serve the baked asparagus with ham.
