  1. 1. Peel the kohlrabi.
  2. 2. Slice the kohlrabi into thin rounds.
  3. 3. Wash the basilica under running water.
  4. 4. Pluck the basilica leaves from the stems.
  5. 5. Set aside a few nice leaves for decoration.
  6. 6. Grease a baking dish with some oil.
  7. 7. Place a first layer of kohlrabi in the dish.
  8. 8. Sprinkle some of the basilica leaves over it.
  9. 9. Season the layer with some salt.
  10. 10. Season the layer with some pepper.
  11. 11. Place another layer of kohlrabi on top.
  12. 12. Repeat steps 8 to 11.
  13. 13. Continue until all the kohlrabi is used up.
  14. 14. Pour the broth over the kohlrabi.
  15. 15. Pour the lemon juice over it.
  16. 16. Cover the dish with baking paper.
  17. 17. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  18. 18. Bake the casserole in the oven for 20 minutes.
  19. 19. Grate the Parmesan finely.
  20. 20. Take the casserole out of the oven.
  21. 21. Remove the baking paper.
  22. 22. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan over the casserole.
  23. 23. Bake the casserole for another 15 to 20 minutes.
  24. 24. Serve the kohlrabi.
  25. 25. Decorate it with the reserved basilica leaves.
