🍽️ Baked Kohlrabi with Fresh Basil

Ingredients
- 800 g kohlrabi (3 kohlrabi)
- 20 g basil (1 bunch)
- salt
- pepper
- 5 g rapeseed oil (1 tsp)
- 60 ml vegetable broth
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 30 g parmesan (1 piece; 30 % fat in dry matter)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the kohlrabi.
- 2. Slice the kohlrabi into thin rounds.
- 3. Wash the basilica under running water.
- 4. Pluck the basilica leaves from the stems.
- 5. Set aside a few nice leaves for decoration.
- 6. Grease a baking dish with some oil.
- 7. Place a first layer of kohlrabi in the dish.
- 8. Sprinkle some of the basilica leaves over it.
- 9. Season the layer with some salt.
- 10. Season the layer with some pepper.
- 11. Place another layer of kohlrabi on top.
- 12. Repeat steps 8 to 11.
- 13. Continue until all the kohlrabi is used up.
- 14. Pour the broth over the kohlrabi.
- 15. Pour the lemon juice over it.
- 16. Cover the dish with baking paper.
- 17. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- 18. Bake the casserole in the oven for 20 minutes.
- 19. Grate the Parmesan finely.
- 20. Take the casserole out of the oven.
- 21. Remove the baking paper.
- 22. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan over the casserole.
- 23. Bake the casserole for another 15 to 20 minutes.
- 24. Serve the kohlrabi.
- 25. Decorate it with the reserved basilica leaves.
