🍽️ Refreshing Mint Fruit Granité

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp peppermint (coarsely chopped, fresh)
- 125 ml white wine
- 60 g powdered sugar
- 1 lime (juiced)
- 500 ml sparkling wine (dry)
- 4 sprigs red currants
- 4 strawberries
- 4 orange slices
- 100 g watermelon flesh
- 1 sprig peppermint
- 40 ml peppermint liqueur (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Place the peppermint leaves, white wine, and powdered sugar in a shallow container.
- 2. Stir the mixture well.
- 3. Let the mixture infuse for at least two hours.
- 4. Strain the squeezed lime juice through a sieve.
- 5. Stir the lime juice into the wine and mint mixture.
- 6. Top up the mixture with sparkling wine.
- 7. Place the container in the freezer.
- 8. Check the mixture every 15 to 20 minutes.
- 9. Once the liquid starts to freeze at the edges, stir it vigorously with a spoon.
- 10. Repeat stirring more or less frequently depending on your desired grain size.
- 11. Ensure the granité resembles crushed ice.
- 12. Peel the skin off the orange slices.
- 13. Place the orange slices into four chilled glasses.
- 14. Distribute the granité over the orange slices.
- 15. Wash the fruits.
- 16. Halve or quarter the strawberries depending on their size.
- 17. Scoop balls out of the watermelon.
- 18. Garnish the granité with the fruits and mint.
- 19. Drizzle 1 cl of peppermint liqueur over each serving if desired.
- 20. Serve the granité immediately.
