🍰 Grilled Pears with Gorgonzola and Walnuts

Ingredients
- 900 g Pears (6 Pears)
- 1 Vanilla pod
- 175 ml Pear juice
- 2 tbsp liquid Honey
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 150 g Gorgonzola (48 % Fett i. Tr.)
- 75 g Walnut kernels
Instructions
- 1. Peel the pears and cut them into wedges.
- 2. Remove the core from the pear wedges.
- 3. Slice the vanilla pod lengthwise.
- 4. Scrape out the vanilla seeds with a knife.
- 5. Add the pear juice, honey, vanilla pod, vanilla seeds, and cinnamon stick to a pot.
- 6. Bring the mixture in the pot to a boil.
- 7. Add the pear wedges to the boiling liquid.
- 8. Cook the pears over medium heat for 7 to 8 minutes.
- 9. Remove the pears from the pot and let them drain.
- 10. Lightly grease 6 large sheets of aluminum foil.
- 11. Distribute the pears on the aluminum foil.
- 12. Drizzle the pears with some liquid from the cooking syrup.
- 13. Remove the hard rind from the Gorgonzola cheese.
- 14. Chop the walnuts coarsely.
- 15. Distribute the cheese and nuts over the pears.
- 16. Seal the aluminum foil into small packets.
- 17. Grill the pear packets from one side at a not too hot spot of the charcoal grill.
- 18. Alternatively, grill the packets under the electric grill or in the oven for about 5 minutes.
- 19. Serve the pears immediately while still hot.
