  1. 1. Peel the pears and cut them into wedges.
  2. 2. Remove the core from the pear wedges.
  3. 3. Slice the vanilla pod lengthwise.
  4. 4. Scrape out the vanilla seeds with a knife.
  5. 5. Add the pear juice, honey, vanilla pod, vanilla seeds, and cinnamon stick to a pot.
  6. 6. Bring the mixture in the pot to a boil.
  7. 7. Add the pear wedges to the boiling liquid.
  8. 8. Cook the pears over medium heat for 7 to 8 minutes.
  9. 9. Remove the pears from the pot and let them drain.
  10. 10. Lightly grease 6 large sheets of aluminum foil.
  11. 11. Distribute the pears on the aluminum foil.
  12. 12. Drizzle the pears with some liquid from the cooking syrup.
  13. 13. Remove the hard rind from the Gorgonzola cheese.
  14. 14. Chop the walnuts coarsely.
  15. 15. Distribute the cheese and nuts over the pears.
  16. 16. Seal the aluminum foil into small packets.
  17. 17. Grill the pear packets from one side at a not too hot spot of the charcoal grill.
  18. 18. Alternatively, grill the packets under the electric grill or in the oven for about 5 minutes.
  19. 19. Serve the pears immediately while still hot.
