🍽️ Honey-Glazed Beets

Ingredients
- 350 g turnip
- 20 g butter
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- salt
- pepper
- 2 stalks parsley
Instructions
- 1. Peel the beetroot thoroughly.
- 2. Cut each beet in half.
- 3. Cut each half into three equal wedges.
- 4. Place the beet pieces in a non-stick pan.
- 5. Make sure the bottom of the pan is completely covered.
- 6. Pour in enough water to cover the beets halfway.
- 7. Add butter, maple syrup, salt, and a pinch of pepper to the pan.
- 8. Cover the pan with a lid.
- 9. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 10. Reduce the heat to medium.
- 11. Cook the beets for ten minutes.
- 12. Stir occasionally while cooking.
- 13. Remove the lid from the pan.
- 14. Continue cooking the beets uncovered for another four to five minutes.
- 15. Wait until all the water has evaporated.
- 16. Fry the beets for another four minutes.
- 17. Stir constantly until they are caramelized all over.
- 18. Wash the parsley thoroughly.
- 19. Spin the parsley dry.
- 20. Pluck the leaves from the stems.
- 21. Finely chop the parsley leaves.
- 22. Set aside the parsley for the very end.
- 23. Stir the chopped parsley into the beets just before the end of cooking time.
