Ingredients
- 4 large red onions
- 50 g Butter
- 5 tbsp powdered sugar
Instructions
- 1. Turn on the grill function of your oven and preheat it.
- 2. Peel the dry skin off the red onions.
- 3. Cut the onions into thick slices about one centimeter wide.
- 4. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
- 5. Arrange the onion slices flat on the tray.
- 6. Melt the butter until it is liquid.
- 7. Brush the onion slices evenly with the melted butter.
- 8. Sprinkle the sugar evenly over the buttered onions.
- 9. Place the tray in the preheated oven under the grill.
- 10. Grill the onions until they are golden brown and caramelized.
- 11. Take the tray out of the oven.
- 12. Place the warm onions onto a plate.
- 13. Drizzle some liquid butter over the finished onions.
- 14. Serve the onions immediately.
