Ingredients
- 200 g Ketchup
- 2 tbsp liquid honey
- Tabasco
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 12 chicken drumsticks
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- paprika powder (sweet)
Instructions
- 1. Whisk the ketchup, honey, a few drops of Tabasco, and Worcestershire sauce together in a bowl.
- 2. Coat the chicken thighs generously with this marinade.
- 3. Cover the container and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.
- 4. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan setting.
- 5. Season the marinated chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and paprika powder.
- 6. Place the chicken thighs on an oven rack.
- 7. Slide a baking tray onto the bottom oven rack to catch any dripping juices.
- 8. Roast the chicken thighs for about 20 minutes in the preheated oven.
- 9. Turn the chicken thighs occasionally during the roasting time.
- 10. Switch the oven to the grill function or the highest heat setting.
- 11. Roast the chicken thighs for another 10 minutes until they are golden brown all over.
- 12. Brush the chicken thighs with the remaining marinade occasionally during this final phase.
- 13. Arrange the finished chicken thighs on fresh lettuce leaves.
- 14. Garnish the dish with fresh lime wedges.
