  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan-forced.
  2. 2. Wash the chicken drumsticks and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. 3. Chop off the lower joint of the drumsticks and push the meat slightly towards the bone end so it does not shrink during cooking.
  4. 4. Place the drumsticks on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  5. 5. Slice one lemon into thin rounds.
  6. 6. Halve the second lemon and squeeze out the juice.
  7. 7. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.
  8. 8. Mix the chopped garlic with the oil, honey, and lemon juice to form a marinade.
  9. 9. Brush the chicken drumsticks with this marinade.
  10. 10. Lightly salt the drumsticks.
  11. 11. Bake the drumsticks in the oven for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  12. 12. Turn the drumsticks once halfway through.
  13. 13. Brush the drumsticks with the remaining marinade repeatedly during baking.
  14. 14. Place the lemon slices on the tray during the last 10 minutes.
  15. 15. Sprinkle the finished dish with fresh basil before serving.
