🍽️ Honey-Lemon Chicken Drumsticks with Garlic

Ingredients
- 12 chicken drumsticks
- 2 untreated lemons
- 2 garlic cloves
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp honey
- salt
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped basil
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan-forced.
- 2. Wash the chicken drumsticks and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Chop off the lower joint of the drumsticks and push the meat slightly towards the bone end so it does not shrink during cooking.
- 4. Place the drumsticks on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- 5. Slice one lemon into thin rounds.
- 6. Halve the second lemon and squeeze out the juice.
- 7. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.
- 8. Mix the chopped garlic with the oil, honey, and lemon juice to form a marinade.
- 9. Brush the chicken drumsticks with this marinade.
- 10. Lightly salt the drumsticks.
- 11. Bake the drumsticks in the oven for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
- 12. Turn the drumsticks once halfway through.
- 13. Brush the drumsticks with the remaining marinade repeatedly during baking.
- 14. Place the lemon slices on the tray during the last 10 minutes.
- 15. Sprinkle the finished dish with fresh basil before serving.
