  1. 1. Peel the ginger.
  2. 2. Grate the peeled ginger on a fine grater.
  3. 3. Add 1.25 liters of water and the sugar to a pot.
  4. 4. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  5. 5. Add the grated ginger to the boiling liquid.
  6. 6. Let the mixture simmer for 1 minute.
  7. 7. Thoroughly wash the organic lime and organic orange.
  8. 8. Dry the fruits with a cloth.
  9. 9. Peel off the thinnest layer of the peel using a vegetable peeler.
  10. 10. Place the citrus peels into a carafe.
  11. 11. Pour the hot ginger liquid over the peels.
  12. 12. Let the mixture cool down at room temperature.
  13. 13. Halve the fruits.
  14. 14. Squeeze the juice from the fruits.
  15. 15. Add the fresh citrus juice to the carafe.
  16. 16. Cover the carafe with a kitchen towel.
  17. 17. Let the drink steep in a dark, cool place or in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
  18. 18. Strain the finished drink through a fine sieve the next day.
  19. 19. If necessary, sweeten the drink with a little sweetener to taste.
  20. 20. Add ice cubes to the glasses.
  21. 21. Top up the drink with mineral water to your liking.
  22. 22. Wash the mint.
  23. 23. Shake the mint dry.
  24. 24. Pluck the mint leaves from the stems.
  25. 25. Garnish the drink with slices of lime and orange.
  26. 26. Add some mint as a garnish on top.
  27. 27. Serve the drink immediately.
