Ingredients
- 400 g Flour
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 0.5 packet Dry Yeast
- 50 g Soft Butter
- 250 ml Lukewarm Milk
- 3 Egg Yolks
- Flour (for working)
- Vegetable Oil (for frying)
- Sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- 1. Mix 350 grams of flour with sugar, salt, and yeast in a large bowl.
- 2. Add the butter and milk to the bowl.
- 3. Add the egg yolks.
- 4. Mix the ingredients using the dough hooks of your hand mixer on low speed for 2 to 3 minutes.
- 5. Add the remaining flour.
- 6. Knead the dough by hand until it is smooth and pliable.
- 7. If necessary, add a little more flour or milk to achieve the right consistency.
- 8. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
- 9. Work the dough on a lightly floured surface.
- 10. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1.5 centimeters.
- 11. Cut circles out of the dough using a 7-centimeter cutter.
- 12. Cut a hole with a diameter of about 2 centimeters in the center of each circle.
- 13. Place the shaped doughnuts on a floured surface.
- 14. Cover the doughnuts with a cloth.
- 15. Let the doughnuts rise for 1 hour.
- 16. Heat the oil in the deep fryer to 170 degrees Celsius.
- 17. Fry the doughnuts in batches for 2 to 3 minutes.
- 18. Turn the doughnuts once while frying.
- 19. Place the finished doughnuts on a rack to drain.
- 20. Roll the still warm doughnuts in sugar.
