  2. 2. Grate the ginger finely or chop it very small.
  3. 3. Add the tea leaves, cardamom pods, cloves, a pinch of pepper, a pinch of anise, the cinnamon stick, and 150 milliliters of water to a pot.
  4. 4. Bring the mixture in the pot to a boil.
  5. 5. Reduce the heat to a low setting.
  6. 6. Let the tea simmer on low heat for three minutes.
  7. 7. Add the milk to the pot.
  8. 8. Let the mixture simmer for another three to four minutes.
  9. 9. Strain the tea through a sieve into a mug or a tea glass.
  10. 10. Sweeten the tea to your liking with sweetener.
  11. 11. Garnish the tea with the star anise.
