  1. 1. Put cardamom, one clove, and 200 milliliters of water into a small pot.
  2. 2. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring.
  3. 3. Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the tea leaves, honey, and milk.
  4. 4. Bring the liquid back to a brief boil.
  5. 5. Let the tea steep on very low heat for 4 minutes.
  6. 6. Rinse the fig under running water.
  7. 7. Pat the fig dry with a kitchen towel.
  8. 8. Remove the hard stem base from the top of the fig.
  9. 9. Cut the fig into coarse, irregular pieces.
  10. 10. Place the fig pieces into a small bowl.
  11. 11. Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon over the figs.
  12. 12. Puree the figs into a smooth paste using a hand blender.
  13. 13. Alternatively, you can mash the figs very finely with a fork.
  14. 14. Put the sesame seeds into a small, dry frying pan.
  15. 15. Toast the sesame seeds until golden brown over medium heat.
  16. 16. Remove the toasted sesame seeds from the pan.
  17. 17. Place the sesame seeds onto a small plate.
  18. 18. Let the sesame seeds cool down completely.
  19. 19. Pour the finished spiced tea through a fine tea strainer.
  20. 20. Fill the tea into a glass or a cup.
  21. 21. Take a slice of brioche (sweet yeast bread).
  22. 22. Spread the fig paste evenly over the brioche slice.
  23. 23. Sprinkle the cooled sesame seeds generously over the fig paste.
  24. 24. Serve the topped bread roll together with the hot spiced tea.
