  1. 1. Pour the milk and cream into a pot and heat them up.
  2. 2. Slice the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the seeds.
  3. 3. Add the vanilla seeds and the whole cinnamon stick to the warm milk.
  4. 4. Break the chocolate into small pieces and add them to the pot.
  5. 5. Stir slowly until the chocolate has completely melted.
  6. 6. Season the mixture with allspice and long pepper.
  7. 7. Adjust the sweetness to your liking with sugar if needed.
  8. 8. Remove the cinnamon stick and the vanilla pod from the milk.
  9. 9. Rinse the removed spices under water.
  10. 10. Pour the hot chocolate into cups.
  11. 11. Garnish each glass with a cinnamon stick, a vanilla pod, and one amaretti cookie.
  12. 12. Serve the drink immediately while it is still hot.
