🍽️ Fresh Olive Oil with Lemon and Thyme Flavor

Ingredients
- 1 untreated lemon
- 5 thyme sprigs
- 150 ml olive oil (cold pressed)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the lemon under hot water.
- 2. Peel the outer layer of the lemon peel thinly.
- 3. Wash the thyme sprigs under running water.
- 4. Dry the thyme leaves and sprigs with a kitchen towel.
- 5. Warm the olive oil in a small pot to 40 degrees Celsius.
- 6. Add the thyme sprigs and the lemon peel to the warm oil.
- 7. Remove the pot from the heat so the oil does not heat up further.
- 8. Place the thyme sprigs and the lemon peel into a previously sterilized jar.
- 9. Pour the warm olive oil through a funnel into the jar.
- 10. Seal the jar tightly with a lid.
- 11. Let the oil infuse for two to three weeks before using it.
