  1. 1. Wash the cherry tomatoes with their stems under running water.
  2. 2. Pat the tomatoes dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. 3. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. 4. Flatten the garlic clove by pressing down on it with the flat side of a knife.
  5. 5. Add the flattened garlic and the bay leaves to the hot pan.
  6. 6. Add the cherry tomatoes to the pan.
  7. 7. Shake the pan occasionally to turn the tomatoes.
  8. 8. Braise the tomatoes for 3 to 4 minutes.
  9. 9. Remove the pan from the heat as soon as the tomato skins start to split.
  10. 10. Season the tomatoes with sea salt to taste.
  11. 11. Serve the tomatoes immediately while warm.
