🍽️ Tender boiled cured pork with root vegetables

Ingredients
- 750 g pork
- soup vegetables
- 1 onion
Instructions
- 1. Take the cured meat out of the brine.
- 2. Rinse the meat several times under fresh running water.
- 3. Fill a pot with plenty of water and bring it to a boil.
- 4. Place the rinsed meat into the boiling water.
- 5. Reduce the heat to low and let the meat simmer gently for about 1 hour.
- 6. After 30 minutes of cooking, add halved onions and roughly chopped soup vegetables (e.g., carrots, celery, and leeks) to the pot.
- 7. Do not add any extra salt, as the meat is already cured.
- 8. Serve the meat with sauerkraut, red cabbage, or Teltow turnips.
