🍽️ Pan with Brussels Sprouts and Smoked Pork

Ingredients
- 600 g Brussels sprouts
- 1 large white onion
- 1 large red bell pepper
- ghee
- 1 small bowl cress
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 2 Kassler pork ribs
- 1 clove garlic (peeled)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the Brussels sprouts thoroughly.
- 2. Remove the tough bottom ends.
- 3. Halve the heads lengthwise.
- 4. Blanch the Brussels sprout halves in boiling salted water for about 8 minutes.
- 5. Let the vegetables drain well.
- 6. Remove the meat from the ribs.
- 7. Cut the meat into small cubes.
- 8. Peel the onion.
- 9. Finely chop the onion.
- 10. Wash the bell pepper.
- 11. Halve the bell pepper.
- 12. Remove the core and seeds.
- 13. Cut the bell pepper into small pieces.
- 14. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a deep pan.
- 15. Sauté the onions until translucent.
- 16. Add the bell pepper and the smoked pork.
- 17. Sauté everything for another 5 minutes.
- 18. Add the drained Brussels sprouts.
- 19. Sauté the vegetables while stirring for 1 to 2 more minutes.
- 20. Season the pan with salt and pepper.
- 21. Finely chop the garlic clove.
- 22. Plate the vegetables.
- 23. Sprinkle fresh cress over the dish.
- 24. Serve with fresh garlic if desired.
