  6. 6. Slice the carrots into round slices.
  7. 7. Cut the potatoes into small cubes.
  8. 8. Slice the leek lengthwise.
  9. 9. Rinse the leek under running water to remove any sand.
  10. 10. Cut the leek into thin rings.
  11. 11. Peel the shallot.
  12. 12. Finely chop the shallot.
  13. 13. Heat the butter in a large pot.
  14. 14. Fry the meat in batches until browned.
  15. 15. Add the prepared vegetables and the shallot to the pot.
  16. 16. Sauté the vegetables briefly until fragrant.
