🥗 Colorful Salad with Honey-Cheese Skewers

Ingredients
- 200 g tomatoes
- 1 red onion
- 0.5 cucumber
- 1 small head romaine lettuce
- 4 sprigs basil
- 4 tbsp light balsamic cream
- salt
- pepper
- 6 tbsp olive oil
- 100 g black olives (with stone)
- 6 slices Parma ham
- 400 g Salakis (natural)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
- 2. Remove the hard stem ends from the tomatoes.
- 3. Cut the tomatoes into small cubes.
- 4. Peel the onions completely.
- 5. Slice the onions into thin rings.
- 6. Wash the cucumber thoroughly.
- 7. Remove the hard ends of the cucumber.
- 8. Slice the cucumber into thin rounds.
- 9. Wash the salad greens.
- 10. Spin the salad greens dry to remove excess water.
- 11. Cut the salad greens into wide strips.
- 12. Wash the basil.
- 13. Spin the basil dry.
- 14. Carefully pluck the basil leaves from the stems.
- 15. Set aside a small amount of basil for decoration.
- 16. Finely chop the remaining basil.
- 17. Put the balsamic cream into a small bowl.
- 18. Add salt and pepper to the bowl.
- 19. Whisk the balsamic cream with the salt and pepper.
- 20. Add four tablespoons of oil.
- 21. Beat the oil in slowly and drop by drop into the sauce.
- 22. Stir the chopped basil into the vinaigrette.
- 23. Add the prepared tomatoes, onions, cucumber, and salad to a large bowl.
- 24. Pour the vinaigrette over the vegetables.
- 25. Add the olives.
- 26. Mix everything gently.
- 27. Place the bowl in the refrigerator.
- 28. Take out the ham slices.
- 29. Halve the ham slices lengthwise.
- 30. Cut the cheese sticks into twelve equal strips.
- 31. Brush each cheese strip thinly with honey.
- 32. Wrap half a slice of ham around each cheese strip.
- 33. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a non-stick pan.
- 34. Fry the cheese sticks in the pan.
- 35. Turn the cheese sticks while frying.
- 36. Fry the cheese sticks for about two minutes.
- 37. Take the salad out of the refrigerator.
- 38. Portion the salad onto the plates.
- 39. Place the fried cheese sticks next to the salad.
- 40. Decorate the plates with the reserved basil.
